Okay, so when Megan called me up to tell me of the amazingly sweet surprise she and Brian had planned for his Nana I was so excited. Nana wasn’t able to come to their wedding back on August 29th, so they wanted to bring her the cake that was supposed to hang out in their freezer until their first anniversary. Pretty darn sweet, no? Well, hold on, there’s more. From that nucleus of an idea Megan suggested that they bring the cake dressed in their wedding finery. And have their families there also dressed as they were for the wedding. And since they were doing all of that why not invite their favorite wedding photog to come along and capture not only all of that, but to also to get a second chance at taking the photos with their race car, Zoomy, since the rain cancelled that opportunity in August. This was without a doubt the most emotional, sweet, kind and beautiful celebration I’ve had the honor of taking part in. Weddings are about love and Megan and Brian have perfected it not only for themselves, but for everyone in their lives. Maybe we can do it again in a few months? Anyone? Bueller?
Lauren and Nate are Ohio natives currently living in Pennsylvania and were kind enough to hike out this way for their engagement session. Well, to hike to Wickliffe which was kinda unknown territory to the Canton natives, but they trusted me and we had a grand time together. I can’t wait for next August to see them again on their wedding day!
Gary and Kelly love the outdoors. Whether they are out with their horses, Timmy and Doc or wandering the paths of the Mill Creek Metroparks in Youngstown, they bask in the beauty of nature. And their wedding, naturally, was outdoors in the lovely Fellowes Riverside Gardens on a beautiful early Autumn day whose light and warmth was the perfect reflection of these two. Surrounded by family and friends they exchanged their vows and then retired to the Springfield Grille for an intimate celebration. Mr. & Mrs. Stewart had a wonderful vision for what they wanted for their wedding celebration and I was so honored to be there to celebrate with them.
Mike & Mia are getting married next June at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens and wanted their engagement session to be a little taste of that setting. We had beautiful weather, many laughs and I learned that a true Ohio State Buckeyes fan must have a real buckeye necklace. As far as accessories go that is certainly the most unique (and cool!) I have ever seen. I can’t wait for next summer and getting to be a part of these two lovely people’s wedding day.
Darnell & Autumn chose one of my favorite spots to wander for their wedding celebration. In any season the downtown Cuyahoga Falls area is stunning, but in the Fall its beauty is simply breathtaking. And so was every part of their wedding day. Rain threatened, but held off until late in the evening so we were able to enjoy all the fall colors and the last vestiges of the warmth of the season. A funtastic time was had by all as we celebrated the love of these two sweet people who, by the way, are ROCK STARS on the dance floor. And their Bridal Party, seriously, some of the most fun people I’ve ever met and truly there to stand up with their best friends as they started on a new journey together.
What a perfect Autumn day and what a wonderful, fun couple to help add to its golden glow! Every detail of Mike & Colleen’s Wedding Day was simply stunning. The couple, their family and friends all had one goal, to celebrate the love of two amazing people. The Columbia Ballroom in Columbia Station, OH had been on my bucket list of venues I knew would make for a spectacular backdrop and all I can say is it was even more gorgeous than I ever could have hoped for.
